Stepping Up Salone is a charitable organisation dedicated to creating more health and arts related opportunities to the Country of Sierra Leone. It’s co-founders are Shamsu Pappenthein (Feel the motion sessions) and Vanessa Fisher (Spirit Arts School). After the devastating mudslide in August 2017, Shamsu and Vanessa raised funds and collected clothing to take to Sierra Leone and offer refuge. While out there, they recognised a lack of arts classes and focus on healthy eating and exercise and so began teaching classes. As of September 2018, the Sierra Leone government will erase the cost of school fees for all children attending public school, this will be a huge weight off the shoulders of families, however many still will not be able to afford school supplies, uniform, bags and shoes. Stepping Up Salone are a self funded organisation and therefore, any amount you can donate will help with gym materials, dance equipment and school supplies. Please help us in assisting the future generation.
Above we’ve included our launch video, all social media info and links to donation pages.. a full breakdown of costs will be coming soon but for now here is a brief overview;
For anyone that would like to do a one time donation, please click the GOFUNDME.com link..this will cover costs for school supplies, gym equipment and dance supplies such as dance wear and shoes.
For anyone that would like to give a monthly donation of anything from £1 upwards, our PATREON.COM account will be live soon. This will go under our ‘send a child to school’ scheme which I’ll be posting about soon..
Thanks in advance for your kindness and support.
